This precious bedtime story from Nancy Sanders is just delightful! I can see myself reading it over and over to my sweet grandson. They rhythmic lines not only soothe a little one ready for slumber, but also teaches about animals from polar bears to pandas to kangaroos to camels. My favorite page is the elephant (because my two-year-old grandson has the most adorable way to say "elephant"): "It's bedtime on the grasslands. Stars twinkle overhead. I splish and splash and take a bath before I got to bed. I thank you, God, for Mommy. Her cuddles are the best. I love her goodnight kisses as we settled down to rest." This was a super cute book and I read it with my 6 year old. He loved seeing the different animals and how they had bedtimes with their mom's. He giggled some and he said 'awww' at some of the pictures. I loved the pictures and how the author made just a super sweet book. This one will be staying on our shelves and read frequently. We loved it.

Nancy I. Sanders
Nancy I. Sanders is the children’s author of over 100 books, published with houses both big and small.
Nancy’s nonfiction picture book, D is for Drinking Gourd: An African American Alphabet, (Sleeping Bear Press) won various awards and sold over 80,000 copies upon initial publication.
Her delightful classroom bestseller with Scholastic Teaching Resources, 25 Read and Write Mini-Books That Teach Word Families, has sold over 300,000 copies and is still selling strong.
Two of Nancy’s most current book projects include the engaging One Sentence Storybooks for beginning readers with Focus on the Family/Tyndale and The Bible Explorer’s Guide with Zonderkidz (co-winner of the ECPA’s 2018 Young People’s Literature Award for the best in MG/YA nonfiction in the Christian market).
